First, you need to know why we have a valid reason for being concerned about the behavior of self-identified feminist men within feminist spaces, and our answer is simple: We have identified the subtle mechanisms utilized by “pro-feminist” men to divide and conquer, to erase the commonality from all women within feminist spaces, and whose cumulative effect results in a gross marginalization of the radical feminist position. We are not the only women to notice a problem. Megan Milanese brilliantly describes most of the tactics in her blog post about fauxminism and men — yet that list does not go far enough to analyze the extent of the problem.

So why should an erasure of the commonality inherent to all women matter to anyone besides radical feminists? Lucky Nickel makes the relevant connection for us:

Self-naming and self-identified labels mean nothing. There must be substance to the label they identify with and substance to who they claim to be. Otherwise folks can insist on calling a mouse a giraffe or claim rape is really love.

What I do think important to note is that liberals, lesbian separatists and radical feminists are all flying the radfem flag these days. The problem being, they are 3 separate and distinct political groups and ideologies, 2 of whom are inappropriately waving the radfem flag. It can get a bit tricky tho with lesbian separatists as radical feminists can also be lesbian separatists. But not all lesbians are radfems and not all radfems are lesbian separatists, or even lesbian for that matter. But in Julian Real’s case, that would be irrelevant. The dude is not a lesbian or radical feminist.

What the dude is, is a liberal. And what he is attempting to do is appropriate the radical feminist label in order to inject liberal ideology. Equality politics are liberal politics, not radical feminist politics. Radical feminists seek liberation from men and their system, not equality. Liberals focus on differences between women. Radical feminists focus on the commonality of women. Needless to say, these 2 different ideologies conflict and clash. Which delights men like Julian Real to no end. Cuz if he keeps liberal women pitted against radical feminist women, it keeps women from unifying, which in turn keeps the heat off of pricks like him and men in general. Slick, no?

In talking to each other privately, we have decided to collectively communicate the following message regarding men such as Julian Real, Hugo Schwyzer, and other men like them, who claim to be feminist allies.

These men do not speak for women as well as we can speak for ourselves and we ask that women give radical feminist bloggers the respect of reading our words, joining the discussion in comments on our blogs, and contributing to our own community rather than giving energy to men who seek to divide us on points which all feminists have in common. Men exhibiting these behaviors have inserted themselves into discussions among women when their participation was insidiously harmful in nature and we ask that you not support that behavior nor make excuses for it.

Women working together, apart from the men who seek to divide us, can create something that only women can create.

In solidarity with other radical feminists, all women seeking a true feminist discussion among women, and ultimately, all women.

Gosh, I am having a hard time keeping to this twanzsquirrel hiatus thing, stuff just keeps happening which cannot be ignored. One post in the whole of November, then THREE now FOUR in just the first week of December!

Take the following example. Cathy Brennan, a well-known Lesbian Activist in the US LGBT circles and regular commenter at The Bilerico Project, was politely commenting on this thread, in which M2T commenter Katie Berger Tremaine couldn’t seem to ‘get’ the importance of protecting female-only spaces because of our unique biological vulnerability, as M2Ts are male-born, they just don’t seem to ‘get it’, yet have no trouble declaring their from-childhood love of the colour pink as proof of their internal-jendah of “womany”. So Cathy helpfully sent a link to Undercover Punk’s lastest post on the matter. And this is the response Cathy got from KBT:

Well, apparently so, for soon after, this goes up on KBT’s wall (which also cross-posts on the same thread at Bilerico):

So apparently sending one link, relevent to a recent online discussion, is considered “stalking”. LOL, you have to just love the male-born, if they consider THAT as “stalking”. I hate to break it to this dude, but actual stalking requires more than one incidence of unwanted contact or following – not a single incident of someone sending you a link that you just don’t like.

But wait! It gets worse!

Joining the partay was some M2T-pretending-to-be-intersex* friend of KBT’s, by the name of Penny Marie Sautereau. PMS (mmm, unfortunate initials?) sent the following message to Cathy:

Charming. And terribly laydeelike too! A case of twanzmisogyny** if ever I saw one: “narrow-minded elitist cunt”. And PMS also has a bit of trouble with the concept of ‘stalkery harassment’. Sending just one link that your M2T friend doesn’t like, does NOT constitute stalking.

Of course this isn’t the first time such a wild accusation of “stalking” has been levelled at Cathy, just because online, she stands up for the rights of the female-born. Who can forget “Casebeergate” just a short while ago:

And yet Cathy remains polite online to these twanzjacktivists who would wish her harm or gruesome death (Monica Roberts is also in the Bilerico thread linked to above).

Of course, some of us have a really hard time believing that M2Ts like KBT and PMS are ‘women just like us’ when, at the slightest hint of disagreeing with them, they behave just like any other abusive male – they respond with misogyny and false accusations.

Yet, when we talk about transgender (and SRS) that is exactly what they want you to believe is happening – a magical transformation has taken place, and the change of appearance means that, in the twanz case, the person has become that opposite sex. Lets take another look at our octopus…

I am fairly certain that most people will agree with me, in the first frame, this is an octopus who is just mimicking seaweed, and has not actually transformed into seaweed. There is more to being seaweed than just looking like seaweed – this is a fact.

So too with biological sex. There is more to being female than just looking like, or approximating, a female.

The knowledge that you could become unwittingly responsible– through accident or rape– for another person’s LIFE is incredible. It’s daunting. Female reproductive organs and processes have physical consequences to female LIVES. Female fertility can not be constructed out of social interactions. Female fertility is biologically constructed with objectively demonstrable physical effects.

That function, that reality, is not one that any non-female can ever truly experience. But this of course, is just one aspect of the reality of being female – but it is an important one nonetheless – reproductive vulnerability. This is where sex matters, and it is the primary protection of our vulnerability that is eroded away with most of the trans legislation being brought in. The problem with most of the existing and proposed trans legislation is that it comes at the expense of biological females – trans want access for anybody and everybody who “identifies” as “woman” to be able to enter female bathrooms, changing rooms, and domestic violence shelters – inclusive of sexual predators.

I have one thing to say to that, twanzworld:

So until any of the proposed trans legislation takes into account the actual risk and reality of biological females, count me out. Get your house in order, and ensure that perverts and sexual predators don’t tag along with you into the ladies bathroom.

Sparkly Unicorn Statistics – what is it?
Well, everytime TwanzWorld make up a bunch of rhetoric nonsense, and pass it off as a genuine statistic, I guarantee I will be there to slap the “unicorn statistic” category on it!

Sparkly Unicorn Statistics can be recognised by any outrageous claim (and never backed up by supporting data of any kind). Things like:

• 40% of unicorns have horns that spiral in a clockwise direction!
• 72% of sparkly unicorns have their sparkles washed off in heavy rains (oh noes!)
• Twanz make up 20% of the US homicide victim figures in the USA!

  So look out for this icon on any twanz dodgy-stat post!

Well, there is a PSA (Public Service Announcement) by a group in Maryland USA calling themselve the “Transgender Response Team” (more about that a bit later).

On the PSA, at 1:33, an M2T claims:

“Hate incidents targeting transgender people account for 20% of all murders in the US.”

That is the exact and full quote, not taken out of context. Here is the the full video on YouTube (uploaded by user jayembee2 on 20 Nov 2011). Chances are they will take this down and edit out this bit after my little exposé. But it won’t stop them trotting out ridiculous statistics in the future to suit the twanz agenda.

So let us examine the reality of this claim.  Looking at the number of homicides in the US over the last ten years:

It looks to be, just using round figures, between 15,000-17,000 homicides per year in the US, so we will use the average which is 16,000 in round figures. For twanz to be 20% of the US homicides, that would mean 3,200 twanz are murdered each year in the USA. And to achieve that figure, there would have to be 9 twanz murders every day throughout the USofA.

Well, that seems a bit far fetched, considering the DV homicide rate for females in the US is between 2-3 per day (and females make up 51% of the population). If you look at the (2005) figure on the NOW website, 1,181 represents one third of female homicides (so the total there would be 3,500 which also roughly aligns with the following – according to dikipedia, “79% percent of all murder victims being male“. So I am not really sure where TwanzWorld are getting their 20% from, because if it comes out of the female homicides, that actually negates pretty much ALL actual female homicides, so their fanciful figure can only come out of the male homicide figures.

But looking at an lgbT org figures for twanz homicides, they come up with the following WORLDWIDE figures:

One hundred and sixteen transgender people were murdered around the world in the first nine months of 2011, the Trans Murder Monitoring (TMM) reports. Seven of the murders occurred in the United States, but most took place in Latin American countries. TMM, a project of Transgender Europe, estimates that at least 681 transgender people have been murdered in 50 countries since 2008.

OK, so that was a 9-month figure, so the 12-month figure would be roughly 155 WORLDWIDE, with maybe 10 in the USA for the 12-month period of 2011. The DV homicides of women just in the UK varies between 100-125pa. and our DV homicides are 45-50% of the total homicides for females (compared to the 33% of the USA).

So how many tranz are in the US? Well, hard to say really. One site quotes the follow guesstimate of between 0.25% to 1%. And a recent study by the Williams Institute puts the entire lgbT percentage of the population at 4%, so the 0.25% to 1% figure is probably in the ballpark. Using the current figure of 312 million (the Williams figure uses a slightly older figure of just over 3 million), then 0.25% of 312m is 781,468 and 1% of 312m is 3,125,870. In looking at those figures, a guesstimate of 0.5% or 1,562,935 would probably be about right. It is always hard to say, given that TrannyWorld want to include everyone and everything in their numbers, even if a dude put on a silly wig for Halloween – but heaven forbid, he should be able to use the women’s toilets even for such a part-time bit of trannying!!!

Given the airy-fairy statistic of 3,200 twanz murdered each year in the USofA, it is a bit of a worry that M2Ts are disproportionately represented in IT. I always thought you had to be good at maths to be in IT, but with stats like these coming out of TwanzWorld, it looks as if no mathematical aptitude is required for IT, just a love of dress-ups and to spend most of your working hours making a really hawt avatar for an online RPG.

I was alerted to the video of outrageous stats here, the PSA being the work of a group that call themselves the “Transgender Response Team (TRT)”. A bit of strange name, the image that springs to mind is this:

Or thoughts of the Tactical Response Team of the Australian Federal Police, rather than some social working or support group based in Maryland USA. It’s not terribly laydee-like to give your group such a militaristic name btw.

I guess they see themselves more as this?

Anyway, I would suggest a bit of a re-think on their group’s name. Either way, it probably does not reflect what they say they do…

In the meantime, I will remain completely twanzphobic and repeat “liar liar pantaloons on fire” at the statistics coming out of TwanzWorld. You dudes are just making stuff up.

According to twanzjacktivists, male predators dressing in female clothing just to enter female-only spaces never ever happens.

Cross-dressing sex predator sentenced for Clackamas aquatic park crimes

A predatory sex offender who dressed as a female and entered the women’s locker room at North Clackamas Aquatic Park was sentenced Tuesday to nine months in jail.

Thomas Lee Benson, who was convicted of sexually abusing children 17 years ago, has a long history of dressing as a female and using women’s dressing areas.

Clackamas County Circuit Judge Steven L. Maurer found Benson guilty of second-degree criminal trespass, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and frequenting a place where children regularly congregate, which is a crime for predatory sex offenders.

Benson was arrested in July shortly after he left the girl’s locker room at the aquatic center, 7300 S.E. Harmony Road. He had been observed wandering around the swim center talking to children. Benson fled when a man tried to detain him. Tayo Cotton, who was helping supervise a group of children, chased Benson through nearby Clackamas Town Center mall.

In desperation, Benson tried unsuccessfully tried to flag down Tri-Met buses and enter cars as they drove through the parking lot. He was wearing a bra, lipstick and eye-liner when he was arrested.

Benson’s obsessive criminal behavior revolves around children and that worries Clackamas County deputy district attorney Bryan Brock, who prosecuted the case. “He keeps going to locations where children congregate,” Brock said.

Benson was convicted in 1994 of first-degree sexual abuse and paying to view child sexual conduct. He was sentenced to probation. The crimes involved grade-school aged girls who lived in Benson’s neighborhood.

Benson was caught in the women’s’ dressing area at Oregon Athletic Club in 1996 and North Clackamas Aquatic Park in 2001. His probation was revoked after the North Clackamas incident and Benson went to prison. He was released in 2002 and was designated as a predatory sex offender.

In 2007, Benson wore female attire and entered a dressing room at Portland’s Mt. Scott Community Center, where children were changing into swimsuits. He was caught in a women’s dressing room at a Nordstrom store in 2009.

Benson’s legal problems may not end when he leaves the Clackamas County Jail in February. He faces a felony charge in Multnomah County of failing to register as a sex offender. Given sentencing guidelines, Benson could serve less than a year if convicted.

Twanzjacktivists will swear black and blue that male predators would never dress up in women’s clothing in order to prey on females, and that only truly “poor widdle women trapped in menz bodies” would genuinely enter female-only spaces. All of the twanz legislation that twanzjacktivists push for is written so loosely, that predator dudes like this one basically get a welcome mat into female-only spaces. When radfems point this out, and demand that legislation is written to only include bonafide transsexuals, we get called twanzphobic.

The other question raised by this article is why such a dangerous child predator is let on the streets at all. He continues to re-offend. If his targets were little boys, then he would likely be locked up as he should be, but instead, he remains free to prey on little girls.
